ECOTORIO - ‘The Protest’

Play It Forward is proud to launch the World premiere of our ground breaking new massed choral work and virtual music video of the first movement from ECOTORIO - 'The Protest', to commemorate Earth Day today - Thursday April 22, 2021.

Commissioned by Play It Forward in 2019, ECOTORIO was conceived by our founding artistic director Jonathon Welch AM, and has been composed in collaboration with Dave Newington, International Tour Conductor for the global singing sensations, the Ten Tenors.

ECOTORIO aims to address some of the major climate disasters around the world and features singers from Australia, USA, UK and Canada, with audio created by Stephen Blackburn, videography by Tom Marley and instrumentalists James Hodson and Dave Newington.

Each movement of ECOTORIO will be released as a virtual music video over the next 18 months, with the first live performance of the full work scheduled to be performed in Melbourne in 2022.
